Greg Roth, solo

Greg Roth is a singer/songwriter who has been performing in the DC area on and off for 20 years. He has released two albums, a short film soundtrack, played just about every venue smaller than the 9:30 Club, and toured for a short time, playing in 24 states, along with Canada, England, Ireland, Portugal, and Germany.

He is the co-creator and host of The What-Have-You, Del Ray's the most popular open mic, and performs solo acoustic with a loop station, or with his band Czars of Leisure.

He has been described as a mix of Elvis Costello, Wilco, and Tom Waits.

Czars of Leisure

Czars of Leisure is the recording project and stage name of Greg Roth, an americana-meets-power-pop-meets indie-rock singer/songwriter, based in Northern Virginia.

As a band, Czars of Leisure performs as a five-piece and draws inspiration from Sloan, Teenage Fanclub, and My Morning Jacket, and is sometimes backed up by Monumental Brass, adding a soul element reminiscent of The Band, Calexico, and some old Stax records.

OK Fine is available on Spotify and most other major music sites. A second record is expected in 2025.
